Jurgen Klopp’s Burnley Press Conference Reaction

Good afternoon Reds. Jurgen Klopp has spoke to the media, and he had quite a lot to say (as always). Let’s talk about it.

Wataru Endo’s availability was confirmed after his Asian Cup with Japan came to an end last Saturday. He is massively important for us and so massive to have him back. His availability provides the question as to whether Alexis Mac Allister can move further forwards in midfield.

Thiago Alcantara suffered a muscle strain after his cameo on Sunday, but the extent is unknown. Jurgen Klopp dismissed the idea that he has played his last Liverpool game, with his contract being up in the summer. The vist of Burnley comes too soon for Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah who are both unavailable. But the boss is happy with their progress “Dom is running outside”. “Mo’s rehab is in the right direction”, with hopes that the Egyptian could return to training as early as next week.

Conor Bradley is unavailable for Burnley. Klopp said “the boy gets as long as he needs with his family”. He was not prepared to comment on Bradley’s mental state as this ‘should not be shared publicly’.

Klopp praised Burnley and specifically Vincent Kompany “Vinnie is doing an incredible job, let’s forget where Burnley are in the table.” “It cannot be a banana skin against a good side.”

Klopp addressed the question that Alexis Mac Allister could move up in midfield with Endo back, but did not disclose whether this would be the case.
